Once you set up a site on HelloBox, we recommend that you add it to
Google Search Console
(previously known as Google Webmaster Tool), which will help your site to be indexed by Google and
track how it performs from
SEO perspective.
When you add your site to Google Search Console, you will need to verify the ownership of the site. There are two options (shown below).
If you are
using your own domain for your HelloBox site,
have a control over your domain's DNS settings and would like to track the entire domain via
Google Search Console, we suggest you select the
Domain option.
On the other hand, if you are using a default HelloBox sub-domain or want to track your
site separately via specific URL, you can select the
URL prefix option.
If you select the Domain option, verification is done at the domain level and nothing else needs to be
done at HelloBox. If you select the URL prefix option, please follow along below.
In the Enter URL text field, type in the full URL (including the protocol - http or https)
and click Continue. In the next screen, you will be presented with several options.
Click on the HTML tag option (shown below) and copy the meta tag.
If you already integrated
Google Analytics with your site,
this verification step might automatically approved.
In the Analytics settings for your site at HelloBox, paste the meta tag
value to Google Search Console verification meta tag field and save.
Back in the Google Search Console screen, click on Verify. That completes the integration with
Google Search Console.
Inside Google Search Console, you will be able to add a sitemap for your HelloBox site. This is an easy way to
index all of your site's contents. Sitemap is available from the same Analytics page in your site's
HelloBox admin panel.
