Access control
Decide who can view your community, who can join, and when new members require approval.
Public and private communities
Access settings control whether visitors can browse your site immediately or must sign in first. Public sites are easier to discover. Private sites are better for member-only communities, courses, internal groups, or paid access.
Private site approval
When a site is private, new members can register, but they must be approved before they can access private content. Review pending members from the Members section of the admin panel.
Registration methods
Choose the sign-up methods that fit your audience. Email and password is the standard option. Social login can make registration faster when your audience already uses the connected provider.
Recommended default
Start with email and password. Add social login only when it clearly reduces friction for your members.
